Petrol and Diesel might come under GST

Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has  appealed to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council to include petrol and diesel products in the GST framework. This happened after fuel prices reached a new high.

Mr Pradhan was of the idea that India is sensitive regarding petrol and diesel price hike. Whenever there is a price hike in crude oil, then there are some pinching prices in our market also. Since petrol and diesel prices are directly proportional to the international factors and India being a consumer sensitive country, the government has even reduced excise duty to control the rising fuel prices.
