13th GST Council Meeting held on 31st March, 2017 in New Delhi

With the series of GST Meetings, the 13th GST Council Meeting held in New Delhi. The abstract of the meeting is as below:
1: The earlier finalized five sets of Draft Rules originally approved in  conformity with the GST legislations have been decided to partly amend and alter to meet the Provision of the Act.
2: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, said "that five set of draft rules that were originally approved have to be partly amended and altered to bring them in conformity with the provision of the Act".
3: Arun Jaitley further said, " The next meeting will be held on 18-19 May in Srinagar where besides these rules which will be given final approval, the rate structure in relation to individual commodities will be taken up for consideration. In the meanwhile, the officers’ committee will start working on the fitment of those rates”.
4: An inclination has been given by the GST Council to another set of Draft Rules in relation with the GST Input Credit Tax, Valuation, Transitional Provisions and the Composition Scheme.
